St. Louis Cardinals activate Matt Adams from disabled list

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - First baseman Matt Adams has been activated from the 15-day disabled list, the St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday.

Adams will be in uniform Tuesday night to play against the Chicago Cubs. He had been disabled since April 22 after a suffering a strained right oblique.

He batted .250 (3-for-12) with a double and two RBI in three games at Springfield (AA) during rehabilitation over the weekend.

Infielder Jermaine Curtis was optioned by the team to Memphis AAA after Sunday's game.
