(Inside the Huddle) - A report from CBS college football reporter Jeremy Fowler finds the St. Louis Rams in conversation with former San Francisc 49ers head coach and current Vikings assistant Mike Singletary for their still vacant defensive coordinator job.

Since losing his job with the 49ers, Singletary has been the Vikings linebackers coach and he knows his business well, as one of the greatest linebackers of all-time while with the Chicago Bears.

Singletary joins a growing list of high profile names linked to the DC job in St. Louis.  The rolodex includes former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan who decided that he actually didn't want to coach the Rams after a whirlwind of media reports stated the deal was done.

Also on list is Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator and Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron.
