St. Louis (KSDK) -- The St. Louis Blues recalled goalie Jake Allen under emergency conditions from the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, The Peoria Rivermen, according to St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong.
Brian Elliott is day-to-day with an upper body injury.
Allen, 21, has played in 37 games for the Rivermen this season, posting a 13-19-2 record which includes one shutout, a .918 save percentage and a 2.84 goals against average. Last season, the 6'2", 195-pound goaltender set Rivermen AHL records in wins (24), minutes played (2805), saves (1306), and shutouts (6).
Allen, a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
