Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Andrei Markov scored a power-play goal with 38 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 victory over the previously unbeaten New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre.

The Devils fought back from a pair of two-goal deficits to force overtime. With 59 seconds left in the extra session, New Jersey defenseman Andy Greene went to the penalty box for holding.

Montreal won the ensuing faceoff and Markov chipped a puck that caromed off the end boards over a prone Martin Brodeur, handing the Devils their first loss of the season.
